Friends, families, organizations and businesses can now create teams to volunteer together! Before requesting to sign up as a team, please make sure to read through some of our frequently asked questions so that you are better prepared for your volunteer opportunity.
How many people can I bring to volunteer with me?
We ask that teams bring no more than 10 people for volunteer opportunities that allow groups.
Who should I put as our main contact?
The individual who will be in contact with everyone on your team to coordinate the volunteer opportunity should be listed as your main contact or 'Team Leader'. This person can also check in with people at the time of the volunteer opportunity.
Does everyone have to sign up individually or can I bring my friends and family under one account?
Each person is required to have an individual account including minors. If you are a family with minors who do not have an email address to use for a profile, please reach out to volunteer@pazdecristo.org so that we can assist you with signing up the minors in your family. A minor will be considered any person under the age of 18. Minors are required to have their volunteer agreements signed by a guardian before arriving at a volunteer opportunity. Volunteers must be 12 years or older to volunteer. Volunteers 12-15 years old must be accompanied by an adult (1 adult per 5 youth).
Are you able to reserve spots for your team before all your team members sign up on the volunteer system?
Yes, team leaders can reserve the amount of slots (maximum of 10) that are needed in advance before team members create their profile. However, it is required that all team members create a profile, sign the volunteer agreement and are added to the team before the scheduled opportunity.
How do I manage my team? (add/remove team members, adjust number of reserved slots, assign team leader, etc.)
You can manage your team after it is created under the 'My Teams' link and then selecting 'Mange Team' next to the date you would like to edit. Using a desktop, this can be found using the drop down arrow next to the circle icon at the top right hand corner of the page. On this page you will be able to add team members, share the join link, remove the team or team members from the opportunity, assign team leaders, and adjust the reserved slots for your team.
Do parents or guardians have to accompany minors?
Any child 12 - 15 years old is required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There must be at least 1 adult per 5 youth. Volunteers must be 12 years old or older to volunteer.
How do we sign up for multiple dates?
You will be allowed to sign up for as many available dates as you would like when signing up for an activity. Simply select all the dates that your team would like to volunteer before submitting your request. You will also have access to cancel your team from a requested date if your team is unable to attend after all. (Please refer to FAQ: "How do we cancel our group volunteering? How far in advance do we give notice?" on instructions on how to cancel.)

We understand that changes happen and sometimes cause your team to have to cancel an opportunity. We ask that groups confirm the number of people that they plan to bring with them a week before their shift date, this ensures that we have time to fill spots if needed. To cancel your team volunteering opportunity, the team lead can go to the opportunity response and unregister your team. If you run into issues with your response, you can also send an email to volunteer@pazdecristo.org.
How far out do we need to schedule?
Teams can add themselves to any shifts that they see are available. However, team members must have their profiles created and attached to the team before the volunteer opportunity begins.
How can we confirm our dates for volunteering?
There will be a couple of things that will confirm that you have reserved spots for your team. First, you should receive an email confirmation from galaxy digital. Additionally, you can also check your confirmed dates under "Opportunity Responses" when you log in to your volunteer account.
Where do we park?
If you are volunteering for meal service, shower and clothing program, food box distribution, or the community salad build, please park behind the kitchen and dining hall building. (Highlighted in orange) If the parking is filled, please park in any of the guest/staff parking spots closest to the kitchen and dining hall building.
For empowerment volunteers, please park in the 'Empowerment Volunteer' parking in front of the front office. (Highlighted in orange)
